The Leamington Society presents Awards every two years to recognise structural improvements in the town. Nominations for Awards must be in Leamington Spa, and have been completed in the preceding two years.

The definition is wide - Awards could be given for:
o A new building
o Restoration or improvement to an existing building
o A new or restored interior which is open to the public
o A landscape - garden, park or planting
o A sculpture or work of art
o Any other visual improvement

The special Bill Gibbons Trophy is presented for the most impressive owner-occupied home.

Chiltern Railways make a very generous contribution towards the cost of mounting the Awards. The nominations are judged by a panel of five, led by an independent architect, together with the Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa and Alan Mayes, WDC Conservation Officer. Certificates are presented at an Awards ceremony by the Mayor in July.
